How to get a temporary boating license in Florida

The cost of the course is $9.99 this includes access to study materials and unlimited exam attempts. You have the option to study the online course material and take the practice exam or you can go straight to the 25-question Temporary Boating Certification Exam. The exam does not have to be taken all at once. After passing with a score of at least 76% you’ll receive a Temporary Boating Certificate. This is your temporary permit to legally rent a boat or PWC (Personal Watercraft) and operate it on Florida waters. With your Temporary Boating Certificate, you can legally rent a boat or PWC anywhere in Florida. Your Temporary Boating Certificate is valid for 90 days.
